On this day February 12, 1987, "Over the Top" premiered in Los Angeles and New York, featuring Sylvester Stallone. The film was released worldwide the following day.
Fun Fact: Sylvester Stallone initially resisted starring in the movie but eventually agreed after being offered more money by the studio. He famously said, "What the hell, nobody will see it." He was paid a record $10 million dollars for his role.
