On April 28, 1980, Alice Cooper released his twelfth studio album Flush the Fashion. The album marked a major shift in his sound, moving away from the heavy theatrical rock he was known for and embracing a leaner, more new wave and rock-oriented style.
Flush the Fashion featured the single Clones (We’re All) which became a minor hit and helped bring a fresh new audience to Cooper’s music. The album itself reached number 44 on the Billboard charts.
