On this day March 25 1985 Paul Young released his second studio album The Secret of Association. Blending soulful vocals with polished 80s pop production the album showcased his signature style and continued to build on the success of his debut. The album included the hit single Everytime You Go Away which became one of Young’s most well known songs. While it peaked at number 209 on the US Billboard charts the album was a massive success in the UK reaching number 1 and cementing Paul Young’s place among top British pop acts of the decade.
